Im looking for a 4×4. So both are 4×4 and priced around $19,900. Mileage around 20-30T.
Is the maintenance for this kind of BMW expensive? or should I stick with a newer Rav4?

I was going about 40mph on a 3 lane street, I signaled, merged from the center lane to the right lane. I had about 5 car lengths behind me to the next car, when I get into the lane, I have to slow to a stop, 2 seconds later the car behind me slams into me. The damage is very minimal, but there is damage. I had neck pains and so did my passenger. I filed a damage claim and injury claim. Unfortanately, I didn’t get a police report; I thought it was an easy case since he hit me from behind. But this guy decided to claim that I cut him off and I was not completely in the lane when I was stopped, which is completely false. What should I do? I received a letter to call the California Department of Insurance Claims. Do I have case? I really feel this person should not get away with not paying for the damage to my vehicle because he twisted the story..
Yes I had Geico and in California. Everything was reported to my insurance and I made my statement to their insurance. I received a letter today, 1 month after the accident, that they denied my claim. That I was at fault for doing “an unsafe lane change”. Which is ridiculous! He was claiming that I cut him off and was not completely in the lane. Which is also false. I signaled and merged in the lane, 2-3 seconds later, he hit me from behind. Damage is directly behind me on the right rear bumper, his damage is left front.
I’m just looking to get my car repaired. My neck does and so does my passenger but I can deal with it. I mainly want my car to be repaired at that person’s expense. So what happens after this? Should my insurance provide the next step or do I have to report this to the California Insurance place?
I want to buy a safe, comfortable, smooth car for my wife. Her car is getting old, and I want to surprise her. I know she loves Mercedes-Benz, so do I. I currently have a S400 Hybrid and SLS AMG. She previously had a C-class(only because she couldn’t afford a better one). We have twin daughters so she needs a 4 passenger car. The models I was thinking were: E350 Cabriolet and ML450 Hybrid. With the E350 Cabriolet, it might be a little hassle since it only has 2 doors but I think she would appreciate a convertible more than a sedan. We could use a SUV for camping and stuff but idk. Which one is safer? Which one would be better for a lady? For both cars I plan on adding the extra packages and accessories. Which one would you buy for your wife? Or is there any other Mercedes-Benz vehicle?
My wife is American blonde, who loves everything German, she is a swimmer, she is a girly-girl.
taking the CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter with a commercial concentration) program?
I am currently in the commercial department of a very well known insurance & financial services company. My current duties include making auto/property/gl/inland marine changes to existing policies, quote & issue new business umbrella policies with insured specific underwriting approved information, research and produce loss run letters, and answer call center questions from insureds/agents/oas on an occasional basis. My ambitions are to become a higher level of an insurance professional, something along the lines of an underwriter or even a commercial insurance lines expert. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration General Management & have obtained the INS (Program in General Insurance) & the AIS (Associates in Insurance Services) designations. I am currently studying for the ACS (Associate in Customer Service) & will be taking it very soon. I’m on the fence as to what insurance designation I should go for in the next testing window. The AU is only 2 tests while the CPCU is 8 tests. Obviously the CPCU would require a lot more work & effort and a much longer time frame but it’s more highly recognized than the AU so I would rather get it first. But if the AU class work would help to better understand everything in the CPCU program then I should go that route. Any suggestions will help me with my career track please! Thank you in advance.
Could you imagine if it were the other way around, and women had to pay higher rates than men?
There’d probably be legislation in Congress to stop it as we speak!!!
I’m comparing auto quotes online, and it’s ridiculous how much a 21 year old guy (me) has to pay just for my demographics.
@Colby: But Obama, our first Female president, is about to change that…

he wants to know my version of the accident. i already told my claims adjuster what happened. both parties are insured by the same insurance.
I was in a car accident. I hit the other car when making a left turn. No personal injury but other car has damage. The police came and write a report. I do not want to file claim since my car has minor damage. My question is should i call my insurance or should i wait for my insurance to contact me?
I did call my insurance and report the accident but agent said that if i am not filing a claim then i don’t need to call. Wait until the other party contact my insurance then they will contact me to gave them my statement.
I live in NH and will be traveling 50 miles both ways to work. The VW will take almost 9 months more than the RAV4 to pay off (3 years vs 3.75 years). I like the interior and looks of the VW better, but the RAV4 has 4WD.
Well played ChadH
