Wednesday, September 8th, 2010New Drivers Car Insurance – 6 Ways to Save on Teenage Car Insurance
Tuesday, September 7th, 2010Has you son or daughter just received their license? Well I’m sure they are excited and you may be as well but there are many things to figure out before your new driver gets out on the road and one of those things is auto insurance. Insurance for teens can be 100 to 200 percent higher then your insurance, why?, because teens have a statistically higher chance of getting in to an accident. Now there are ways to lower your new driver premiums but its not going to completely get rid of the high premiums. The following tips will help with lower cost if followed properly.
1 – - Make sure the new driver knows how to drive in a safe manner. A huge part to keeping your insurance cost down is making sure no crashes occur. Insurance cost are going to be high with a new driver but if an accident occurs the premiums could go through the roof. So, ride with your driver, make sure they know all the right safety and traffic procedures. Also some insurance companies let your new driver take safety training classes that when completed will lower your premium.
2 – - Why not add your new driver to you insurance? If you are the parent of a new teen driver and you yourself have good auto insurance then it is wise to add the new driver to your insurance. This will lessen the premium spike. Plus many insurance companies have “multi car discounts” which could lower your premiums even more.
3 – - This tip is pretty simple, get your teen to help pay for some of the cost. The new driver won’t be able to pay a lot but it can offset prices a little. If your premium is 900 dollars ask your teen to save up 300 to 400 dollars. Many parents and guardians take a “if you want to drive you can help pay” stance and this is a good way of offsetting the cost.
4 – - Is your new driver still in school? Well, did you know that a student with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher has a 10 percent lower premium than teens with bad grades? Its true. Encourage you young driver to make good grades and it will save you some money.
5 – -When looking for auto insurance get many quotes from different companies, this alone can save you hundreds of dollars. Find a good website and get many many quotes. The more the better, You never know when you are going to find a gem.

Types of Car Insurance for the poor
Sunday, September 5th, 2010There are about a million people who have insured their lives, property and their possessions. But why does one insure so many things that belong to him? This question can be answered with a simple answer. It is the risk that is involved in life. In order to reduce this risk factor in their lives, these people insure everything that they possess. But the risk that these people face is the same whether the person is poor or rich, young or old etc. The economic status of a person shouldn’t stay as a barrier and prevent one from insuring his car or life. Nowadays, insurance companies seem to take that part of the idea into account.
There have been several cases in which a lot of drivers have dropped their car insurances or allowed it to lapse. This drastic move by car drivers comes as a surprise to many insurance companies. The reason that the car drivers have withdrawn their insurances is because of lack of monetary funds from their part. These drivers belong to the group who earn on an everyday basis. So when they save a meagre amount at the end of the day, the sum is not too large when compared to the rest of the professionals. Hence their savings are not enough to pay the monthly premiums that these insurance companies demand. This economic position of the poor drivers who are unable to pay their premiums on a regular basis is understood by the insurance companies. For this purpose, several insurance companies have introduced lot of policies for the poor.
There are several types of car insurances that are available to the people who are low in economic conditions. They are Fully Comprehensive auto insurance, Third Party Fire and theft, Third Party insurance and Specialized Car insurance.
The first type known as the Fully Comprehensive auto insurance is the costliest amongst the 4 insurance policies. But the advantage is that you can claim for any sort of damage done to the car including theft. This type of insurance gives you the maximum benefit. Some insurance companies do not make 100% payments but make up to 80% of the expenses.
The next type is the Third Party, Fire and theft insurance is the type of insurance for people who desire nominal premium payments. But this type of insurance does not provide monetary help for all the circumstances. It provides funds only in the case of fire accident or if your car is stolen. The third type is Third Party insurance. This is the most basic and cheapest type of insurance that is available. But this insurance is hardly of any use as it pays the owner of the car the least amount possible.
The last type of insurance is the Specialized Car insurance is only for cars that are 25 years old and are considered to be a classic model. This insurance provides you with all the benefits that are available in the fully comprehensive <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://insurethepoor.com/”>insurance for the poor</a> but is limited to the number of miles driven by the car.

How Do You Save On Cheap Car Insurance?
Tuesday, August 31st, 2010There are various methods of obtaining cheap car insurance. As it is, it is tough chancing upon a good and cheap insurance for your car to keep your premium from shooting up. Good credit is something that makes you pay less. A good credit score implies that you are likely to file a claim. In fact, even the insurers know it well whether you are paying your bills on time or not or whether there are credit accounts that you have had for a long time. They also come to know if you are stable than the rest or if you pay late or frequently close and open an account. This is required for creating your ‘insurance risk score’ that determines you car insurance rates.
You can save on procuring the money for cheap car insurance by waiting for about a month for returning to getting auto insurance. In case you have a staggering car insurance credit history, make it a point to get rid of it as fast as you can. The model of your car influences your premium. Auto insurers follow a rating system against every car model and manufacturer starting with the cost of the vehicle, its safety as well as theft data. The higher your rating, the better your premium.
Evaluate the Risk Factors
You need to study the risks that are involved with your car through comparing the rates. For procuring a new car, you need to enquire after the difference in premium for getting the car you are looking for. Get cheap car insurance by avoiding paying in installments. Fractional premiums are charged by allowing the buyer to pay annual premiums in installments, instead of making the payment at a single go. Various installment quotes are available and for every break up, there is an administrative fee charged by the insurance company.
Before making an investment, inquire after the fee you are required to pay. If the fee is nominal, you can go ahead with the payment. Insurance companies can make policy cancellations for late payment, often with minimal notification. To avail of inexpensive car insurance, it is best not to give the installment dates a miss. Keep the process simple and save on a few dollars that way.
You need to drive well in order to prevent mishaps, and thereby claim good amount of car insurance. According to the car insurance industry, you can increase your premium by 40% of the base rate of the insurer after your first faulty accident. Although the rule is not followed by everyone, in many instances, you can obtain this insurance easyly through this method.
Certain companies have this policy of forgiving the first accident. There may be extensive variables for the forgiveness policy to know which you need to follow the rules of your car insurance company. If your friend drives rash, you could be liable to paying for them as you need to file a claim with your insurer for paying the deductibles. This will make your rates shoot up.
why is my car insurance so much cheaper than other companies?
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010i was looking around for auto insurance to see if there was anything cheaper than what im paying now. im a 20 year old male with a 2005 scion tc. i have been driving for about 2 years and currently use state farm. when i first insured my car 2 years ago, i was paying $148/mo. due to a speeding ticket, it has risen to $194/mo. i also have comprehensive and collision with a $500 deductible. $100,000/$300,000 coverage with full glass also. not complaining, i think this is great
i looked at nationwide, allstate, geico, and progressive. these companies are supposed to be so great, but progressive quoted me at $485/mo for the same coverage! the other companies where all in that general area. progressives “state minimum” coverage plan for me was almost $300/mo.
why do these other companies cost so much more? im not complaining about mine, obviously im not gonna switch, but i am curious as to the difference in price.
When will they start making auto “mechanical” insurance?
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010We have insurance for everything else….when will they start offering some kind of insurance that would help pay for auto repairs? My SUV is getting on the older side and needs some minor repairs, but like everything without payment up front and in full, I cannot get it done! I wish there was kind of insurance for this. We have pet insurance, why not auto mechainc insurance! Do you agree?
